On the heels of Moosehead and Carlsberg, German brewer Paulaner is the latest brewer to pull out of a "grouped portfolio" import company and form an wholly owned subsidiary in the U.S. to import its brands. As Heineken's Star Brands winds down, Paulaner Brauerei in Munich that it has formed Paulaner HP USA after "an exhaustive review of many prestigious U.S. beer importers."
