MillerCoors has sent out their widely anticipated distributor standards to distributors on Friday. We haven't seen the standards as of presstime yet, but we did manage to get MillerCoors western president Ed McBrien on the phone. When asked to describe the new standards, Ed said they were "tighter and shorter very concise at 21 pages, so a lot shorter than what folks were used to with the old Miller and Coors standards." Ed added that they delayed the issuance of the standards so that they would be "right the first time out of the gate", and that the Distributor Council has "unanimously and publicly" endorsed the standards.
