Beer Institute has just released May shipment to wholesalers volumes per state. The biggest beer states generally fared well -- in fact, most did better than their year to date trends: For May, California is up 6.3%, Florida is up 4%, New York is down 1.4%, and Texas is barely up, just under 1%. In all, state shipment volumes were down 0.5% for the month, to 18.7 million barrels, and down 1.1% YTD, to 82.3 million barrels.
