Yesterday the Associated Beer Distributors of Illinois, MillerCoors, the Beverage Retail Alliance of Illinois, the Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of Illinois, and others testified in an open hearing regarding the Illinois Liquor Control Commission (LCC) position that an Illinois non-resident supplier can't hold a state distributor license. Representatives from A-B and Soave Enterprises, who were close to closing their deal, testified against that interpretation of the law, as did a former A-B distributor .
