January 2, 2013Dear Client:Welcome to 2013, folks. Last year was the year of distributor deals, well over 25 of them, many of them A-B deals which is a change from previous years. In 2011 A-B released its consolidation guide which said that A-B had 533 equity distributors. That was down from 637 in 2001 and 725 in 1997. A-B is likely close to falling below the 500 distributor mark very soon. Will 2013 be another big year for distributor consolidation?
