The Far-Reaching Effects of Tariffs

Dear Client:  Just about two weeks ago, Donald Trump said he would impose a 25% tariff on goods from Mexico and Canada on his very first day as U.S. President. As sister publication BBD reported immediately after, two of the most impacted bev alc segments would include Mexican imports (especially Constellation) and tequila (esp. Cuervo).  But there’s been lots of chatter in the following weeks on whether companies can somehow avoid tariffs altogether, and/or what they would mean for (theoretically)
