Droughts, flooding, the rise of competing crops, demand, and pricing have conspired to drastically reduce the quantity and quality of malting barley in key growing regions including Western Europe, Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Canada and Australia.In the U.S. the situation isn't much better.
