Ohio Legislators Say Stall on Franchise Reform Due to Education Gap, Not Resistance

Dear Client:  Ohio legislators working to reform the state’s franchise law say pending legislation is stalled not due to resistance, but due to a lack of education on behalf of their lawmaker colleagues.  CBD readers will recall the legislation – Senate Bill 138 and House Bill 306 – was introduced last year, with the aim to change the 1974 Ohio Alcoholic Beverage Franchise Act to allow brewers making less than 250,000 barrels of beer a year to leave or change
