Dear Client: Molson Coors is lifting the veil today on “a big swing” it will take next year in the flavored adult beverage space: a new “spiked refresher,” dubbed Happy Thursday. The brand, “inspired by new legal drinking-age consumers,” is billed as a “bubble-free” beverage that carries “easy-drinking sessionability” with the line checking in at 4.4% ABV. “Why wait for Friday?,” the brand’s tagline reads, as Happy Thursday “brings the spirit of the weekend no matter what day it is.”
