Kroger Bets Bigger in Craft

Dear Client: Kroger, already the leading grocery chain for craft beer sales, is expanding its cold space for the segment. Kroger beer category manager for Cincinnati, Dayton, Knoxville and Nashville, Nate Wolejsza, told a local affiliate that they're "increasing by about 30% the cold storage shelf space available to local craft brewers." The Cincinnati Business Courier relayed that 55% of the Cincy-based retailer's new beer entries come from the craft segment (at least in Cincinnati and Dayton), with 40% of
