Dear Client: This may be the first story on the hemp products regulation front of the new year: a state bill aiming to regulate hemp-derived products, including beverages, has apparently died in the Illinois General Assembly after failing to pass by the end of the lame-duck session that ended yesterday, a local NPR affiliate reports. The bill, HB 4293, was sponsored by state Senate Majority Leader Kimberly Lightford, to regulate hemp-derived THC products similar to how Illinois regulates cannabis. It
