Federal Judge Issues TRO Blocking Enforcement of Ohio’s Hemp Ban

Dear Client: Out-of-state hemp companies won a temporary reprieve this week from Ohio’s recently instated hemp ban thanks to a federal judge who ruled that Senate Bill 56 likely violates constitutional protections for interstate commerce. The temporary win for the hemp industry follows another legal challenge by in-state hemp beverage producers, including Fifty West Brewing Company and Urban Artifact, which was shot down by the Ohio Supreme Court in March [see CBD 03-23-2026].  Now, 10 out-of-state operators, led by Titan
