A-B and Natty Greene’s Resolve Trademark Spat

Dear Client: Anheuser-Busch has rescinded its filing of opposition to Natty Greene's Brewing Co.'s trademark for the name "Natty Greene's," per STL Today report. According to Natty Greene's lawyer, "the parties were able to reach a resolution and now the trademark can proceed." The fast-growing brewery out of Greensboro, North Carolina, drew the attention of A-B after the microbrewer filed to trademark the name "Natty Greene's." They wanted to trademark the decade-old name, particularly to protect it in expansion markets.
