Beer Back in the Red

Dear Client: After what looked to be a sequential improvement in last week's Nielsen report, beer is back in the red for the four weeks to July 4 (all outlet). Overall beer volume fell, from flat in the prior set of data (four weeks to June 27), to down 0.7% in the latest data. Dollars also declined, from 2.3% growth to 1.6% growth in the latest.
