The Retread of Bud Select

Anheuser-Busch announced yesterday that it has reached an agreement (financial terms not disclosed) with Shawn "JAY-Z" Carter for him to become co-brand director for Budweiser Select and appear in ads. A-B says JAY-Z will participate in Budweiser Select planning sessions and provide ideas into brand programming. This is the first time Anheuser-Busch has signed a celebrity to participate in the development of one of its beer brands, and a unique move for a brewer that's better known for favoring Wharton
