The Brave New World of High End

You editor visited the famous new upscale Wal-Mart store in Plano, Texas, today, which features $418 bottles of wine, soft lighting, polished concrete floors, and upscale cheeses. You may remember that CNBC devoted an entire segment fawning over this store, and Jay Leno even made a joke of it in an opening monologue.But it's no joke, mon frere. The wine section in this store looks like it covers a football field -- a sea of bottles. We ran into the
