Grupo Modelo announced an agreement its equity partner Anheuser-Busch to import Modelo's beers into China starting January 2007.August Busch IV said this new arrangement will help to "significantly increase the sales of Corona [in China]."In August, Grupo Modelo announced it will begin to distribute Tsingtao in Mexico by the end of this year. Anheuser‑Busch also is an investor in Tsingtao, China's largest brewer.
