The Age and Gender Gap Issue with Beer

November 20, 2012Dear Client:A Consumer Edge Research survey of consumer behaviors reveals that there's a disconnect between what consumers drink, and what they say they like, and beer appears to be on the right end of the equation from a consumption viewpoint, but the wrong end on the perceived preference end. Overall, 39% of alcohol consumers name beer as their favorite category, followed by spirits at 31%, wine at 25%, flavored malt beverages at 4%, and alcoholic cider at 1%.
