Dear Client: Remember that big bribery case involving former high-level Southern Glazer’s employees that surfaced last year? Well, we’ve now learned how the broader federal investigation shakes out for Southern itself: a non-prosecution agreement and a $12.5 million payment. Southern announced yesterday evening that it has reached a “resolution” with the Department of Justice and the TTB related to the previously disclosed investigation, which the company says involved former employees and “focused primarily on activities which occurred many years ago.”
