Sapporo Sells Stone to Firestone Walker, Duvel USA

Dear Client: Putting all its efforts behind continuing to grow its Japanese lager, Sapporo USA announced today it is selling its San Diego-based craft brand, Stone Brewing, to Firestone Walker Brewing and Duvel Moortgat USA. Terms of the deal, which is expected to close in Q2, were not disclosed. Arlington Capital Advisors served as exclusive financial advisor to Sapporo USA.  The deal comes not quite four years after Sapporo purchased Stone for $165 million, in a deal that gave the
