SABMiller and Molson Coors: Trouble in Paradise?

February 28, 2013Dear Client:SABMiller Canada is attempting to terminate its exclusive Canadian license agreement with Molson Coors Canada, effective July 22, 2013, the company said yesterday. Molson Coors promptly filed a lawsuit in Ontario seeking to prevent termination of the 10-year License Agreement. There are some bitter feelings between the two companies in Canada, which of course are joined at the hip in the US in the form of MillerCoors. Canada represents roughly 15% of Molson's total volume, but it's
