SABMiller Acquires Grolsch Rights from A-B

In a development that perhaps we could have seen coming, Miller Brewing Co. and A-B have announced that the US importation rights to Grolsch are being acquired by SABMiller. Recall that SABMiller acquired the Grolsch Brewery back in November for $1.2 billion, just after Anheuser-Busch acquired the US importation rights to Grolsch in May of 2006.This is good news and bad news to distributors, depending on who you are. Recall that Grolsch has changed hands to many A-B distributors back
