Quality Beverage v. Constellation: Is A Settlement in the Air? 

Dear Client:  The contract lawsuit between Massachusetts wholesaler Quality Beverage against Constellation (one of its biggest suppliers) for allegedly holding up a $191 million deal to sell Quality’s portfolio to New England wholesaler Martignetti appears to be headed toward a settlement.  The news isn’t totally unexpected, considering fellow Mass. distributor Atlas Distributing said on its website last month [see BBD 11-30-2023] that it “will begin sales and service for Constellation Beer Brands for Hampden and Hampshire counties” – Constellation territory
