August 15, 2012Dear Client:As BBD reported yesterday, the Vermont Hard Cider Company has "agreed that our importation rights to the Strongbow cider brand will terminate on December 31, 2012," and will revert to Heineken USA. Strongbow is a growing brand, and there will likely be a distributor shuffle. Keep in mind, cider in many states is considered a wine and as such is not protected by franchise protections. It's a big deal, as Strongbow is the No. 2 cider brand
