MillerCoors Posts Tough Q1 Trends

April 15, 2014 Dear Client: SABMiller reported early this morning that MillerCoors' first quarter STRs were down a big 3.4%, and down 2.9% for the year ending March 31, adjusted for sell days. MillerCoors' STRs had been down 2.8% for the year ending December 31, and their fourth quarter STRs were down 1.9%. So this is quite a deceleration in trend despite reporting better numbers for Miller Lite. What happened? Bad weather happened, especially in the core Midwest and Northeast
