Miller Hangs on By Fingertips

Miller's domestic sales-to-retailers were down 1% for the twelve months ending March 31, 2006, SABMiller said in a trading statement early this morning. Miller blames a "relatively weak industry trading and pricing environment over the 12 months. Our flagship brand Miller Lite continued to grow, despite cycling higher year-on-year comparables and aggressive pricing by the main competitor brand."The -1% March-to-March yearly trend would seem to indicate that Miller has slightly decelerated it's STR trend for the first quarter of 2006,
