July 20, 2012Dear Client:Beer volumes were up 3.8% for the two weeks ending July 8 in all-channel Symphony IRI scans, with dollar sales up a big 7.2% and pricing was up 65 cents a case. That's not too shabby. The same period last year saw volumes up 2.6% and in 2010 volumes were down 1.3%. So sequentially, beer volumes were very good. It turns out that perhaps having July 4 on the Wednesday gave us two good weekends of sales.
