Interbrew Surprises, Heineken Warns

Are imports dead?In dueling profit guidance announcements, Interbrew yesterday surprised many in the industry with an upbeat projection for what it calls "meaningful organic growth" this year despite terrible weather across the globe, an economic recession, and very unfavorable exchange rates. Interbrew did not elaborate much on its announcement except to acknowledge that Q1 was terrible but Q2 was shaping up to be better.
