Imports Back in the Saddle

Imports rebounded in September as expected with the extra sell day, with shipments up 13.3% for the month, or about 3,246,000 case equivalents. That puts import shipments slightly down for the year, -0.5%, or down about 1.2 million cases, according to the Beer Institute. We expect imports to be up around 1 to 2% for the year 2003.MEXICAN INVASION. The largest gain was Mexican imports, lead by Corona, Corona Light, Tecate, and Dos Equis, which are all enjoying volume gains.
