Import Shipments All Ahoo

November 20, 2013 Dear Client: Import shipments took a big dip in September, down 8.8% in the month and down 3.8% for the year, according to figures from the Beer Institute based on government figures. But these numbers don't tell the whole story. Not only are there huge vagaries in trade inventory with imports -- more than with domestics -- but so many brands are now brewed in different countries.
