HUSA Reports First Half Results

Heineken USA's sales volume for the first 6 months of the year, excluding distribution of the Femsa brands, decreased by 2.5%. However, STRs were down only -0.4%. That's good compared to domestic premium brands, but pales compared to Mexican imports. Heineken Premium Light Lager has been introduced into test markets, and the national roll out is expected to take place in the first half of 2006.Recall that Heineken is spending an incremental $130 mil in the US and Western Europe
