Distributors, State Ordered to Pay Costco’s Legal Fees

Dear Client:Now this is an odd twist. Although Costco lost most parts of its legal battle with the State of Washington and the state's wine and beer wholesalers, Judge Marsha Pechman (remember her?) said this week that the defendants must pay most of its legal costs. Huh? Recall that Judge Pechman sided with Costco in District Court, but most of her rulings were overturned on appeal. Is this payback time?The appeals court did uphold Costco's victory in eliminating the state's
