December BPI Edging on Expansion 

Dear Client: Beer wholesalers are heading into the New Year with a “slightly cautious outlook,” per the latest Beer Purchasers’ Index from the NBWA, as total beer purchasing in December and at-risk inventory both recorded an index of 48 for a month. Though the latest December BPI is a bit short of expansion territory, a little shy of the November BPI (50), and “slightly below the 10-year average” for December, it is a better finish to the past few conclusions
