CA Bill Restricting D9 Sails Through Assembly, Heads to Senate

Dear Client:  California's AB 2223 got a “third reading” on the Assembly floor Tuesday afternoon and passed 73-0. The bill, seeking to close “loopholes” in prior legislation -- establishing parameters for industrial hemp production/sales in the state -- sailed through the state Assembly this week and now heads for approval by the state Senate. Assembly Majority Leader Cecilia Aguiar-Curry authored the bill, which in its current iteration (emphasis on current, as the bill is active and could still be amended)
