Beck's North America had a challenging 2003. The importer is owned by Interbrew yet was in a state of limbo for over a year as Interbrew squabbled with Femsa over whether Beck's could be integrated into the Labatt USA portfolio. Eventually, a court decided that Femsa could keep Beck's out, and so the Beck's North America would continue as a separate entity. While Beck's is an Interbrew "global powerhouse brand," it hasn't experienced the levels of growth in the US
