Barton Sales Up 10%

Barton Beers, the western importer for Modelo, reported through its parent company, Constellation Brands, that its shipments were up 10% for the second quarter (their fiscal Q1). That is more than most folks believed they would sell. Constellation chairman Richard Sands told investors that actual STRs were up about 6-7%.Richard said that their beer business was "performing extremely well", with Modelo beer shipment volumes up 7.3% (compared to domestic volume down -2.3%).
