Dear Client:Now that the FDA and the FTC have sent warning letters to four malt-based caffeinated alcohol beverages -- Phusion Projects, United Brands, New Century Brewing, and Charge Beverage -- advising them that adding caffeine to alcohol is unsafe and that their marketing could be "unfair or deceptive," there are many questions on distributors' and brewers' minds.
