AB InBev Announces Massive Layoffs

The chatter on this announcement has been building for weeks. Today during a conference call with employees at noon central, AB InBev announced the inevitable: layoffs in the U.S. ABI is cutting about 1,400 salaried jobs, about 6% of the workforce. About 75% of the positions are at the HQ in St. Louis. Also, about 250 open positions will not be filled, and 415 contractor positions will be eliminated.
