A-B Strikes Deal with Monster

ALERTA-B today announced they have reached an agreement with Hansen to transfer the distribution rights of the wildly popular and high-margin Monster energy drink to "certain Anheuser-Busch wholesalers," according to a release. Hansen will decide in which markets Monster will be transferred from whatever beer or liquor house currently handles the brand to the corresponding A-B distributor. No word yet on which A-B distributors will get the brands. Remember that non-alcohol brands don't enjoy the franchise protections that beer has,
