A-B Reorg: First Glance

As the details trickle in on A-B's field reorganization, BBD has tapped several wholesalers' opinions over the weekend. The WSJ and the Post-Dispatch both reported on Friday that A-B's reorg included a first phase of layoffs of about 90 people in sales over 25 states, saving about $90 million, with the possibility of more to come. The difference with this latest wave of layoffs is that they include people who are well-known among distributors, including four vice-presidents, people who work in national accounts .
