The Gold Coast Transaction: “A Bird in Hand”

Dear Client:Andy Christon sent a memorandum yesterday sizing the distributorship sales market now that it's been a few weeks since the supposed biggest distrib deal in history: Reyes acquiring 27-million case Gold Coast Distributing. Memo repeated the possibility that the purchase price (which will likely never be actually disclosed) was in range of $1 billion, "strong evidence that this is a great time to buy or sell a beer distributorship." Note went on to enumerate and justify "the current high
