Dear Client:Remember that long essay in the Washington Monthly we mentioned earlier this week that attempted to link three-tier to or lack thereof to UK's drinking problems? Beer Institute chief Joe McClain has sent a letter back to the magazine saying the piece was "both inaccurate and flawed in its logic."Joe pointed to the brewers/importers "strong record of supporting the three-tier system" and have "opposed any effort to dismantle or weaken this system precisely because it has worked so well."
