Shipments Off 3.8% in October; Choppiness Behind Us, Says BI

Dear Client:  After finally posting a positive month in September, beer shipments retreated back to the red in October, latest Beer Institute estimates show. DOMESTIC SHIPMENTS DROP 3.8% IN OCTOBER. Domestic shipments came in at 11 million barrels in October, down 3.8% from October 2024’s 11.43 million barrels. That pullback follows September’s +1% showing, the first positive month of 2025, and leaves the YTD domestic shipment trend at -5%, nearly 6.3 million barrels off last year’s pace. TOTAL SUPPLY OFF
