Let's take last week's news and tie it all together and give it some perspective. First, the Costco case wrapped up with what the Seattle press thought was a slam dunk for Costco, but other observers aren't so sure, given Judge Pechman's historical reluctance to throw out laws without giving the Legislature time to fix Constitutional problems. The case ended up revolving around this: Do the provisions in the state's alcohol code which are de facto violations against the federal
