Idaho Legislature Enters Self-Distribution Fight

Dear Client: Lawmakers in Idaho have taken up the self-distribution fight brought by craft brewers in Washington [see CBD 08-09-2023], who claim the state’s self-distro laws discriminate against out-of-state brewers via a bill that proposes expanding self-distro rights.  House Bill 276, introduced Wednesday during a committee hearing by Rep. Vito Barbieri, would amend the state liquor law to allow both in-state and out-of-state brewers who produce 30,000 barrels a beer a year or less to self-distribute their beer so long
