Diageo to Acquire Mezcal Union

Dear Client: This morning Diageo announced it has reached an agreement to acquire Mezcal Union, through the acquisition of parent company Casa UM. No financial details were disclosed. Mezcal Union launched in 2011, and is a 100% handcrafted mezcal brand from Oaxaca. As part of the agreement, the founders will continue to be involved in the business. The transition should be pretty seamless as Diageo has worked in partnership with Mezcal Union since 2016, "providing expertise and supporting growth of the brand's distribution
