Once HB 168 goes into effect next month, any brewery in the state of Kentucky that owns a beer distributorship will be forced to forfeit that operation. There's a chance that things could still get messy between the state and Anheuser-Busch, which Kentucky has already lawyered up for [see BBD 05-07-2015]. But the bout is over for Rhinegeist who owns the Erlanger-based Riverghost Distributing. The Cincinnati-based brewer has announced they'll 're-launch' in the state with Heidelberg Distributing the week of the cutoff, July 13.
