Before the New York Times published their recent report on beer geeks standing in lines for half a day to grab special release brews, they penned an article on people in Austin, TX waiting three hours or longer six days a week for a chance to chow down on some Franklin's Barbecue. And prior to that profile on Franklin's, the Times' reporters observed how a local clothing store called Supreme would cause its fans to camp out on NYC street corners in anticipation of its weekly "drop" of new items every Thursday morning.
