Trib: Former Pabst Execs Speak Out

Several former Pabst Brewing Co. execs have very vocally spoken out against the company and its new ownership, particularly the Metropoulos' boys, in a high profile piece in the Chicago Tribune over the weekend. While it's common to harbor angst when there's change in a company, the degree to which former execs spoke out is rather rare, and indicative of the passions in our industry. "I want it to fail,'' said Bryan Clarke, former vice president of marketing. Speaking of the Metropoulos family, he says: "I hope they lose every dollar they have. If our core PBR drinker knew that what they were drinking is owned by guys like these, it's the last beer they'd want to drink.'' Wow
