We had previously reported that New Belgium elected to go with Reyes Holdings' distributors for its Southeast DC area market (in fact, NBB is with Reyes in all of their markets), but NBB also announced it went with an interesting mix of distributors in the DC in what was by all accounts a very thorough and tough vetting process. NBB is welcoming a total of 17 new distributors into the fold, with nine being A-B distributors in Maryland (6) and Virginia (3), seven MillerCoors distributors, and in an unusual twist, NBB went with Specialty of Virginia, a craft-only distributor owned by the Sheehan family, in the greater Richmond area and in several counties south of Richmond to the North Carolina border
